Distinguished Young Woman 2016

On February 20, 2016, associate Lauren Walker will help to select Ohio’s Distinguished Young Woman 2016.  An Ohio native, Lauren represented her state in the program in 2008 (formerly Ohio’s Junior Miss) and will judge this year’s 58th annual program.  America’s Distinguished Young Women is a scholarship program for high school senior girls.  Each state sends a representative to Mobile, Alabama every year to compete in the national program.  The program provides an opportunity for the young women across the country to gain interview skills, public speaking experience, and self-confidence, as well as make lifelong friendships.  Each year, the program makes over $820 million in scholarships available to its participants as a result of sponsorships, donations, and university participation.
